Member Training: Reporting Structural Equation Modeling Results

The last, and sometimes hardest, step for running any statistical model is writing up results.

As with most other steps, this one is a bit more complicated for structural equation models than it is for simpler models like linear regression.

Any good statistical report includes enough information that someone else could replicate your results with your data.

In this Stat’s Amore training, Statistically Speaking mentor Jeff Meyer will show you which steps and which results need to be included in any report of SEM results.

Specifically, we cover how to report:

·  Model parameter estimates, like factor loadings and correlations among error terms
·  How you justify which of these to include
·  Construct and discriminant validity and reliability measures
·  The goodness of fit statistics and exactly what they are testing
·  What to report in mediation
·  The best way to explain and report moderation
·  Whether groups have the same loadings and intercepts, and whether the means are equal

The training will look at these and other issues as they pertain to simple CFA models. You will also learn more specified models such as group comparison of latent constructs and latent growth curves.

Note: This training is an exclusive benefit to members of the Statistically Speaking Membership Program and part of the Stat’s Amore Trainings Series. Each Stat’s Amore Training is approximately 90 minutes long.
