Conquer Statistics with Confidence:
Get Expert Help for Your Research Today!
Dear researcher,
Are you feeling stuck and overwhelmed by the challenges of statistical analysis?
You’re not alone.
Many researchers find themselves spending countless hours scouring the internet, watching tutorials, or wrestling with software—only to end up even more confused.
It doesn’t have to be like that.
Statistics is hard.
Even for highly educated researchers like you.
You’ve invested years into your education, yet when it comes to applying statistics to your research, it feels like starting from scratch.
- Hours wasted on YouTube without knowing if the analysis is even relevant
- Struggling with software you barely know how to use
- Confusing advice from colleagues who can’t explain things clearly
- Theoretical instruction you don’t know how to apply
- Getting stuck again just when it feels like you’re starting to make progress
- Feeling bad for burdening the university’s already understaffed and underfunded statistics department
- Rejection in peer review because you used the wrong statistical test
- Money spent on expensive programs where help comes only from other participants just as lost as you
Sound familiar?
You’re not the problem.
Statistics is complex, and unless you’ve applied it to real-world problems for years, it’s normal to feel lost.
That’s where I come in.

Meet Karen Grace-Martin: A Statistician Who Gets It
Hi, I’m Karen Grace-Martin. I know firsthand how frustrating statistics can be—because I’ve been in your shoes.
While working on my PhD in social psychology, I realized the two statistics classes in my program weren’t enough to handle the data analysis for my research.
I felt frustrated because I knew there was a lot out there I didn’t know, and I felt like I wasn’t doing it right.
I tried finding books that would explain what I needed but couldn’t find any that weren’t just mathy textbooks.
I tried talking with colleagues and professors in my department, but they seemed to only know the same simple statistics I did.
So I chose the best option available to me: I started taking courses in the statistics department so I could figure out how to analyze my data properly.
Learning statistics was not easy for me – I was a psychology major – not a math major. And there was a lot of math in those classes.
But I was finally learning the knowledge I lacked.
Becoming the Resource I Never Had
I made the tough decision to drop my PhD and pursue a Master’s in Statistics instead. That decision changed my life.
When I got a Statistical Consulting job at Cornell University where I worked for 7 years…
I got the chance to make a difference and become the resource I wish I had had.
The job at Cornell taught me how to apply statistics beyond the classroom and to every field you can imagine.
But it also taught me something even more valuable – how to be there and support researchers the way they wished to be supported.
Providing Statistical Primary Care
After I left Cornell, several of my former students reached out to me for help because they didn’t have the support they needed at their new university.
I realized there was a worldwide need for ongoing statistics support for researchers.
In February 2008, I founded The Analysis Factor so I could support anyone, anywhere.
I provide what I call “Statistical Primary Care”:
- Helpful to every client regardless of knowledge level. This can range from helping researchers set up the data in their software, to negative binomial regression, all the way to generalized linear mixed models
- Support for every discipline: from agriculture to psychology to health sciences, I’ve seen it all
- Approachable and respectful in every interaction
- Speaking in plain English, not in Statistican-speak. I’ll turn complex-sounding words like “Type I error” – into simple explanations such as “you found an effect in the sample that isn’t actually there in the population.”

What’s the Investment?
Directly hiring a statistical consultant costs $150-250 per hour, and it goes up from there for specialized or very experienced statisticians.
I understand that is outside the realm of affordability for most researchers, so Statistically Speaking is only:
- Regular: $79 per month
- Student: $47 per month
Every month, get continuing direct access to statisticians at less than the cost of a half-hour of a consultant’s time.
Now – full disclosure – this price point does not include 1-1 calls with my team. But most Statistically Speaking members prefer it this way because they can ask their questions any time and not have to wait days after booking a call for the answer.
“My membership has been worth every penny.”
– Charlie F

FAQ
Can I purchase a monthly membership now to try it out and then switch to annual?
Yes! You can absolutely do this and many have done it in the past.
Do I get credit for the days remaining in my monthly membership before I make the switch?
When you switch, your annual membership starts at that time you select a year option, and is for a full year, renewing one year later on that same calendar date. Keep in mind that when switching you get 2 months free, so you’re always saving money.
Are workshops included in membership?
The workshops are built as courses on topics that deserve the time to really dig into the details and learn material in a particular order. Membership trainings can be approached individually or in a learning pathway, like a custom curriculum.
The workshops are not included in Statistically Speaking, however as a member you get the best discount we offer on workshops. Let us know what statistical skill(s) you’re looking to master, and we can tell you if they are covered in membership trainings or if the full workshop is what you need.
Do you have a discount for developing countries/retirees/non-profit orgs?
Because we have members all over the world and the majority are associated with a non-profit one way or another, we pride ourselves in delivering an unmatched amount of direct mentor support along with the trainings you need to make your research better while keeping the price as affordable as possible. We offer a student discount for currently enrolled students who have not yet earned their PhD, and organizational memberships when purchased as a group.
What will I miss if I do not purchase right now?
There are a few reasons why it’s better not to wait:
First, we can’t help you with your research or answer any statistics-related questions until you become a member. While we aim to help as many people as possible, it would not be fair to our paying members to give the level of support and direct access we offer our members to everyone who asks.
Second, you get to ask questions during our live trainings and Q&A calls. While we offer trainings and Q&A recordings to all future members, you will miss out on the opportunity to have YOUR burning question answered live on a call.
Third, when we offer Accelerators – structured live mini-courses – to participate you need to be a member at the time of the Accelerator.
How do I know your trainings/support are as good as you claim?
Apart from the testimonials on this page, you can also look at our testimonial pages or our BBB ranking.
We do occasionally provide webinars where you can attend live, hear us give a training, and answer questions in real-time. To be notified of our next event, join our email list where we send out the latest news, including webinars, events, and a monthly newsletter where we cover one particularly-sticky statistical topic.
